Tom Bartel

I'm a tech and data leader based in Colorado, currently serving as SVP of Data Services at Validity—where we help global brands make better decisions with better data. With 25+ years in email, security, and SaaS, I’ve been in the trenches: scaling startups, leading teams, and navigating the ever-shifting landscape of digital trust, deliverability, and data quality.

I’ve also built companies from the ground up, and I still love that early-stage energy—where strategy meets scrappiness. Whether it’s launching new initiatives or mentoring founders, I’m drawn to the challenge of building what’s next.

Outside my day-to-day, I serve on the Board of M3AAWG (Messaging, Malware, Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group) as Treasurer and co-chair our Growth & Development efforts - helping the global messaging ecosystem stay ahead of emerging threats. I also stay active in the nonprofit world through the Happy Smackah Foundation and pick up passion projects like Outpost Anglers. Mentoring through Bolster Prime and EforAll keeps me connected to the next wave of entrepreneurs.
